Shifter options
I have about an inch of left to right play when in gear and a death wobble in third. What bushings would minimize play?. I'm also looking at short shifter options to get more precise feeling shifts. I like the feel of an rtd and the clunk but I hate how it looks sticking up a foot in the air. does anyone have a ssk and how do you like it. what setup do you guys have for your shifter?

I installed the turner short shift kit. Little cheaper than the rest of the options and much more adjustable. I can adjust throws up to something like 60% reduction and as little as 15%, it also has adjustable height. This REALLY tightened up my shifts, it has a good clunk and is pretty much impossible to miss a gear. Can't recommend more.

The only thing that won't be replaced by this kit the the rear brace witch has a rubber bushing but doesn't move. Yes it will probably go even lower than stock. Yes you can use zhp knob if it is the normal style bmw "slit" that they use.

By the way the longer shift arm is not included unless you select it. |

No problem, it's a bit of a difficult install you have to remove the front of the driveshaft and let it hang and even then there isn't much room. If you remove the heat shield as well it would be a lot easier but that would mean lowering the exhaust too. Good luck!
