FRM Windows Coding Help

Hey everyone. I have an anti-trap error that is not going away and as a result my front passenger window only moves inch by inch. The motor and regulator are working perfectly fineand I have tried many window regulator reinitislization method even with INPA and ISTA.

After noticing that my high beam wouldn't stay on when the toggle lever was used I am positive that there is a problem with the FRM that I just had replaced last October under the extended warranty.

My question is if there is a way or possibility of recoding on my current FRM3 the front passenger window control to see if it can fix anything. I am not too familiar with Tool32 but I suppose it would be there?

Anyones if anyone can guide and help me it would be appreciated since the issue is getting on my last nerves hahaha

I had this problem and I'm not sure if it will work for you but I lowered the windows before disconnecting the battery to work on my engine then when I reconnected I had the problem you had, nothing in coding fixed it. So what worked was, Just let the window inch it's way to the top then disconnect the negative terminal on the batter leave it for a bit and then reconnect it. The warning light was gone and the window worked fine.
I don't know if this will work for you but that's what did it for me. Goodluck

Hey thanks for the reply. I figured I had nothing to lose to try it so I brought the window fully up, disconnected the negative terminal for 15 minutes and then plugged it back. Unfortunately it didn't work but it was worth the try!

Maybe you can try to update the FRM with imported SP Daten of E90 in Winkfp.
Then FA Write from CAS to FRM and default code the FRM Module.

Anyone could guide me on how to code back the FRM to the default settings just to see if it will erase the error?

I believe you'd have to flash the frm to get it back to factory, I saw another forum from a while ago saying dealers were aware of this issue and it was fixed on ista, but if whatever happened to the window isn't fixed I think the problem will just return again. From my last comment I think the fix is pretty easy it's just you don't know what the fix is lol

Yeah I had some kind person help me with the coding and we flashed the FRM but issue remained, so more frustration hahah.

But you're right, it can't be something very complicated, it's just not obvious.

Holding the windows buttons up for some seconds will fix them but from what I understand the FRM is probably faulty I once managed to destroy one with low battery voltage and coding, only hazzard lights and low beams work. The light switch doesnt work either nor the blinkers

If you can't fix windows with flashing and coding I think you should check power windows jacks or buy second hand frm and code it

I fixed my windows with updating the module.
First I imported the V68 E89 Daten with BMW Coding Tool.

After that, I backed up my FRM Coding Data by using NCS Expert:
1. Open NCS with Admin and Expert Profile 2.0
2. F1 F3 F1, hit Back and you see your modules.
3. Select: Choose ECU (I think F4)
4. Change Job - Codierdaten_lesen
5. Execute Job
6. Go to you NCSExpert - Work Directory and copy the FSW_PSW.TRC File

Then I updated it with WINKFP to the latest ZB Number and wrote the FA from CAS to NFRM and default coded it.
Cant remember the steps and buttons but you can do it !

It ended up being my FRM modulr that acted up once again. Few weeks after I made the post, my lights started to malfunctuin, the modulr would stay on and drain my battery.

I was lucky enough to still be under extended warranty and replaced it once again...

I will defently keep that in mind for the windows if it acts up again.

Thanks so much to everyone!
