Only rear speakers working..

I have not been able to find what I am looking for through the search, although I am sure this has been answered and addressed before. I have a 2011 335d with I-drive. amp in trunk and tweeters in the doors, but no center channel speaker. Only the rear speakers are working. I am not and audio person, but I am assuming something is wrong with my amp? The fuse in the amp is not blown. I am not sure where to look or what to do, I really appreciate any input!

Have you looked at the Amp to see if there is water on it.
Water in the Amp area is a common problem.

Amp does not appear to be wet. Also fade is doesn't change anything.

Could the Amp have burned out? No light on on thr Amp when the stereo is on. But the fuse is not blown.

I don't believe the Hi Fi amp has any LED's the logic 7 one does.
You said no center speaker that imply's Hi Fi .
Also you said the rear speakers were working this could not happen
if the amp didn't have power.

Had these been working in the past or did you just get this car and that is
the condition it was in ?

Could be the Head unit to.
One guy on here bought a car wondered why the speakers weren't working
and it turned out in the positions that weren't working there where no speakers.

I thought the rear speakers were not powered by the Amp in the trunk, but I could be wrong. The light on the amp does not come on.. I have had the car for 4 years everything worked before. But now that I think about it the battery did die during the winter when I don't drive it as I forgot to hook it to a trickle charger. Plugged it in to that for several months and batter appears to hold ans no other issues, but could that have caused it? Seems odd, but a few things on this car are.

The 4th link down is the hi fi block diagram but you should read the others to.
In cars with amps in the e90 series every speaker is powered by an amp in the US.
(Except 2010 to 2011.5 where the ampless tweeterless base system snuck in)
In the older 5 series 2005 and before it was a distributed system but that doesn't apply here.

The common problem is water on the amp but if it was stored in a barn or some place like that
there have been cases of rodents eating the wiring.
Before replacing components I would try re seating and inspecting the connectors to the amp and radio.

Can you put up a picture of the amp .
Have you checked for your stereo type with a vin checker like mdecoder.com

I think the alpine amp and tweeters were added later? Maybe upgraded? As I mentioned the power light on the amp doesn't come on, but I do have sound through my rear speakers which makes me think they are powered by the head unit. Anyone know which pins on the amp I should be getting power on so I can test? Maybe a critter chewed a wire.

good that you did the vin check. The above install instructions for that kit
might help you. No evidence of Hi Fi or Logic 7 in the vin data you published.

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182752

looks like there is an inline fuse on the hotline.
Also a lot of stuff shows up if you do an open google search.

something like "e90 alpine amp upgrade pdf"
or "e90 alpine amp upgrade"

With the alpine amp retro it is in an area that doesn't generally get wet.

Alpine amp upgrade was generally popular in Europe offered by BMW .

Thank you so much, that helped! I didn't know about the inline fuse, pulled the trunk panels out and found it wedged down in there close to the battery, and it was burned out. Everything works again! You are a lifesaver!
