offset seems too high
Hey guys just bought these oz wheels used and the rears seem to be super wide. they came with 255 on a 19X10 rear wheel super stretched. Im on stock e92 suspension and the wheel sticks out a little farther than the fender.
I would like to put a tire hat fits the wheel but i think it will end up touching the fender plus i was planning on dropping which i cant at all now. anyway to machine the offset smaller? Last edited by Andrew@ET; 11-09-2008 at 03:16 AM.. |

that is the max width for the 265 tire, it will still stretch a bit and the wheels will have no lip protection. What is the offset of the rear wheels?

You can look at the back of the OZ wheels and it should tell you the offset. It looks like at least +22 to me.

Stretched tires are fine as long as they're not too stretched. I'm not sure what it costs to shave the wheels in your area. It's best to call a few shops and see how much they charge.

The angle and the quality of the pics are not that great, so really can't make comments about a drop yet. Can you get some better pics with a camera and good lighting condition? I have the OEM Style 163 rims with a ET27 in the rear and is sticking out a bit like yours and I'm running 265/30R19 tires.

k I'll get some better pics . How can I roll the fender if the tire itself is out of the fender LOL . Any problems rolling the fender if it's a lease? They want 50 bucks to roll them if it works I'll do it

10" wide wheels is the within spec for 255 tire. Tirerack web site can confirm this.
I love your stretch look and I think is prefect. I would rather roll the fender than shave the rims, not a wise thing to do. |
