There is no way I would buy one without drive it first.
Fine if they have Test Drive from your home but not buying online without the Test drive. Your second link goes to "Sorry, page not found." Quote:

I've bought 7 cars from the same sales rep. I trust his judgment. I see a car on their website I like and he gives me a decent trade-in and a decent deal on the next car. It's been working for 20 years now. Not the usual case, for sure. But it's worked for me so far.

Sorry but I don't get it. Person-to-person contact is part of every day life and interaction. I've never had a salesperson contact me every day for anything. Maybe that's because I don't go to the dealership until I'm ready to purchase. I want someone to find the vehicle I tell them I want - so I can purchase it. Once I purchase it, there's no reason to contact me. I find they're only as pushy as you allow them to be.
Plus, this is a BMW forum so why would I ever want an Audi at my door.? |

If not new just use CarTrader, saw mine, went round, test drove, sorted a price and bought in private sale.Car was on drive in 3 days after I first saw it in CT, nothing to be afraid of
and sell your old car privately, you'll get more. |

Ordered mine during peak covid in late December 2020. Completed the entire transaction including signing paperwork online or on the telephone. I didn't even meet the S/A until I took delivery. Then I told them to park the car in a quiet spot, and let me get acquainted with it myself. Told them I'd get in touch with them if I had questions. Spent less than 30 minutes at the dealership, less than 2 minutes IN the dealership. Of course I did hours of research and watched 100's of videos before the deal. Worked out splendidly. I had to contact them for one question--why didn't my sunroof open fully? Turns out it's not supposed to. Would definitely do this way again.
