Question DW400 LPFP

How are people running the DW400 LPFP? It's too long to fit in the bucket... what am I missing?

So, I decided to go this route:

https://www.fuel-it.com/bmw-e-series...lpfp-upgrades/

Which has a place to mount the fuel level sensor... but now I'm wondering what I do with the (black hose) fuel transfer lines?

Any insight is appreciated.

I haven't heard about too many people using the DW400 pump on the forum... seems like the majority of people here run the Walbro 450/535. I'm interested in seeing what kind of results you get with the DW400 since they seem to suggest they have better flow than even the Walbro 535.

Yeah.....this is the first time I've ever even heard of that pump. The large majority of people use the Walbro 450 or 535 pumps.

Not a bad pump but a Walbro F90000295 flows more and costs less while pulling less current. I understand there are pump dyno charts that show how amazing the DW is, but I wasn't able to replicate that on the test bench. I consider the DW a slight upgrade from a Walbro F90000274 but not worth the premium.

Does Fuel-It or someone carry a E92-specific F90000295?
Would be very interested in looking at one.
Did a quick search and only found 2 or 3 sources (ebay, amazon) but not vehicle specific

I wonder if the 295 is physically the same size... if so then maybe you can just diy?

Thats what i did with my 274 and has worked great so far.

295 is physically the same size as a 274, as it's the same architecture with no check valve (which does not seem to be an issue at all on our cars). DIY is super easy. I bought mine for $145 with the full kit on eBay, and after feeling sketchy about my hacked up bucket I bought a DIY bucket from PFS for $210. If you'd rather not do it yourself (it takes maybe an hour, just need to solder, modify the outlet, and legos), they sell an assembled bucket for $600. It's a great pump, holding 85psi on stage 2+ E50, and no EKPM2 issues and I don't even have auxiliary cooling.
