Any experiences with Amsoil Signature Full Syn?

Been looking at Amsoil for a bit when I talked to a friend with a newer Dodge Ram (deleted and tuned) who swore up and down by it...so I got some. This stuff...

Seemed pretty darn good so I put 8 quarts of it, and a new filter in. Engine does sound a bit quieter and feels smoother starting and shutting off. But after talking to him today he said I should have got the diesel spec. This stuff...

I reminded him that I was deleted and the diesel oil was probably was spec'd out for emission systems, which I don't have any longer. I'm just wondering now if should have gotten the the diesel stuff instead? I'm sure I'll be fine with what I got, but I'll get the better if I can. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Stick to a diesel rated 5w30/40 and go to town. There are so many options out there, especially since you're deleted.

I wouldn't waste the $$$ on Amsoil.
