New to BMW. Looking for 09 E93 mod suggestions
This is my first BMW and I am loving it. I am sure that the modding bug will bite soon. I will probably be getting the Dinan Stage II and having the car lowered a bit but am clueless as to what other mods might look good on a E93. Any suggestions would be appreciated and pics if anyone has them.
Most of the E93s I have seen seem to have stuck with the stock boot lid. Has anyone tried anything else and how did it look. I am liking the MTech front bumper and side skirts. Here are some pics of the car in her current state. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I did an M3 lip spoiler and Aero Front lip, but just recently bought the full m-tech kit, front sides and rear. I just put on some Eibach springs to lower it a bit - they seem to be the only ones that do specific springs for the E93 as the E93 has even more gap in the front than the E92 - it's a nice drop without being to difficult to live with. I did m-tech type 192 wheels, but if you have stock wheels, 15mm spacers on the rear make a huge difference to push them out a bit - I really like that mod so far. SmartTop is a nice mod for top functionality, M3 steering wheel totally rocks compared to stock also. If you looking for performance, JB3 or new procede being released look like the way to go!
Have fun - the modding bug bites hard!

Thanks for the replies. The suggestions look and sound great. Any shop suggestions in the Los Gatos/San Jose area?

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the car! I see that you are local to us here in Santa Clara, feel free to stop by our showroom on Scott Blvd and have a look at some options.
I recommend going with the Aero Lip that we have for the front bumper or perhaps the Vorsteiner package if you are looking for a carbon fiber or more aggressive look. We have a variety of items on display and can also arrange for paint and installation if you need. |

bspears, Congrats on your new e93!
Sorry for the long post...but you did ask for ideas. ![]() E93 Mods-so-far: * Quad Tips (retains Drivers side Exhaust-Valve in case of Warranty Issues) http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137400 * Tri-Color M-Wheel w/Paddles (One-Off) http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122287 * Drilled & Slotted Rotors (stock BMW Sport Rotors, sent them off & had them Drilled & Slotted) * Front & Rear Low Dust Brake Pads (for a change, the car gets dirty BEFORE the wheels) * Eibach Pro-Kit * H&R Hubcentric Spacers * U.R.Coated Down Pipes w/ Stock Exhaust (Sounds like stock exhaust on Steroids + Engine feels more responsive) * JB2HR (it's been Great, no CEL's since install) * AC SCHNITZER Pedals * Opaque Vinyl Eyelids (One-Off) * Angel-Eye, Outside 18,000mcd SUPER-LED Mod (One-Off) Wired parallel to the H-8 so no CEL. Had a great 60' time on stock run flats but gave out of juice on the top-end due to the weight..not bad for a 4,000 lb. car though (with 1/4 tank of gas). ![]() ![]() My buddy in the Cayman S w/ a modified Intake & Exhaust ran a 13.01 to my 12.77. I should be even quicker when I get the JB3 this Christmas. ![]() ![]()
