when you go to a high quality event, like a BMWCCA HPDE, you'll be required to get tech'd at a real race type shop. Usually on the tech form, there's a question of "brake fluid changed within the past 6 months."
most bmw owners.... never ever worry about it. I'm tracking a fair amount and I feel like 6 months is more than adequate for my use. After 7track days I did a complete flush and the color difference between new and old fluid was hardly noticable. If you have money burning a hole in your pocket, do it. Otherwise, show up to Fontana and have a good time. There are 2 biiiig braking zones at the Roval. The course is about 3 miles. Additionally, the rotors cool themselves really well. My buddy did 2 days in Sept in his 335 with bmw fluid at the roval and he had zero issues. |
