How do you guys usually clean your wheels?

I always clean my car myself but i feel like i could be doing something faster/better with the wheels

i use a rag and wheel cleaner spray (black magic maybe?) and do it by hand

I actually pull mine off every oil change and clean the inside as well, then wax them... It is amazing the amount of brake dust build-up you get "past the spokes"...

As far as what I clean the inside with at that point - "generic wheel cleaner", simple green, car wash, then a good coat of wax.

Oh yeah - and a whole crap-load of elbow grease!

wth?! doesn't even correlate...you sure you not high man?

I get annoyed of seeing the insides dirty, but don't bother to take the wheels off....I use the leftover carwash and just use the mitten....I do have a thick bristle brush though...I use the mitt for the secondary clean...

Buy black wheels and let it accumulate, you'll never see it.

+1. I used the Poorboy Wheel Sealant before and I didn't notice a big change for me to stick with it.

Garage List
Soap and water. I'll use a dark-colored rag that's been washed in the dryer, or several. I'll use a rag to soap them down; brush to clean the insides; rinse; then wipe down w/ another rag

Soap & water, by hand. It takes time to do it thoroughly.

1) Wet the wheel with 1300 psi power washer.
2) Spray with Turtle Wax F1 Wheel Cleaner (Walmart sells them for $2.99 per spray bottle).
3) Wait 3 minutes, the wheel cleaner is "working" on the wheel.
4) Power washer to rinse off (1300 psi electric power washer).
5) Use wheel brush, to remove some stubborn dirt - light work.
6) Power washer it again.
7) There you go, your wheel is sparking clean.

Total time: approximately 4 to 5 minutes each wheel.

I bought an electric power washer 1300 psi (Husky product) at Home Depot for around $80. Worth every penny. I use it for many other things, such as washable electrostatic filter, window screen (remove them from the windows first), etc.

Usually by hand, BMW Wheel cleaner. Or with the Mothers Powerball. That thing makes quick work of it. Just make sure you are wearing old clothes, 'cause it flings shit everywhere!

I wash the wheels last. I use the same bucket of soapy water but a different wheel only sponge so it isn't goobered for the next wash.
I wash the outside first, then I use a narrow bristle brush for the area behind the spokes and I go around the inside. Then I use the sponge on the same area. I rinse before and after each step. Works fine if you do it each time. If you skip, it builds up thick and fast.

I use the BMW Wheel Cleaner sprayed on and left to sit for about 5 minutes. Use a microfiber rag and soapy water to wash but be careful of the disk around the brakes; it sliced my hand a few times.

At least you guys are taking efforts to keep your wheels clean.

Is it just me or does nobody bother maintaining their wheels in Europe?

When I was over in London, Paris, Nice and Monaco this summer, I saw lots of nice cars.. BMWs, Mercs, Audis, etc. and for the most part they were kept quite clean....

... except for the wheels. Just about every car I saw parked as I walked past had the telltale signs of rusty brown staining from neglect

Why do you people over there not seem to clean your wheels?

probably because they took the car to the carwash and the wheels didn't get cleaned.

I use a brush - I think I got it from autopia.org site.
