ive heard bilsteins are one of the best coils out there ... on par with kw's ... i just wanted to know what fellow e90post members think of them and whether they're worth the money ....

I got them on my car...I like them..but they are NOT easy to adjust while installed on the car. My old PSS9s on my Audi were easily adjustable for dampening while installed.

I would look into the PSS10s as an alternative on the E90.

how would you compare them to kw v2's .... im looking into getting some used pss9's because i can get them for cheaper than i can get kw's used ... is it really that hard to adjust the dampening? i track my car on occasion and i want to be able to adjust that as well as the height for track and everyday driving ... or do you think i should just save and get the kw's?

how difficult were they to adjust? ... i know the kw's have just a little knob under the strut bar in the front and same in the rear except you have to remove some of the panels in the trunk to reach the rear ones

Fronts are a cinch to adjust for both height and dampening
The rears are a different story. Even if you don't have problems with the adjuster spinning on you, you need to leave your interior trim either at home or in the pits while tracking to get adjustments easily for the rears

Bilstein makes a solid product, I have their PSS9s on my E46 and it's a great performer. I love the easy adjustment and it provides a very smooth ride while still significantly improving performance.

With that said, I would do the KW V2s over the PSS9s/10s as you get more range of adjustment and better performance out of the set. The PSS10s are easier to adjust as they have standardized knobs on the base of the shock but other than that, I find the KWs to be a better suited coilover.
