4x4 and DSC Failure/Malfunction
Hey, I have a 2007 335XI Sedan and after driving for a while the car will turn off DSC and turn on the 4x4 Light. Any input would help as I have no idea what could be causing this. When I cold start the car the lights are off and it looks all normal after driving for about 10-15 minutes that when the lights turn on.

Could be a great many things. Some cheap and easy, some expensive and terrible.
You'll need some type of BMW malfunction code scanning setup to find out what the computer is angry about. The Schwaben branded Foxwell is about $150 and the best 'non technical' tool. The cheaper but more challenging option is downloading software from the internet and buying some adapter cables.

Could be a speed wheel sensor too, but I agree you need to get it scanned just to make sure.
For a quick cheap test I would unplug the battery for a about 30 min then drive it, if the lights don't go away definitely get it scanned. |
