33d Won't Start

Hey there! I have a 2010 335d.

So this is my first car and I am in love with it, but earlier today I tried to start it and it wouldn't start.

It sounds like it's trying to start, but the engine isn't kicking on. There is a notification on the dash, looked it up and it's the glow plug light. The light doesn't turn off. There is a clicking noise that keeps going off, sounds like it's coming from my transmission. The car is in park but the red "P" on the dash flashes to the same beat as the clicks. My windshield wipers move slowly despite them not being on, the gas tank meter took a while to realize I had gas in the tank. It moved up to where I know my tank is filled to, but still bounces around. The airbag warning light turns on, it hasn't been on before.
Last few days my E-brake light was on despite the E-brake most certainly not being on. I assumed it was a problem with the sensor but now I think it might be related to this? Could be a separate problem all together.

The glow plugs being a problem wouldn't surprise me. I got this car second hand so I'm assuming they haven't been replaced in a bit, but the glow plug light hasn't turned on before. After doing some research it seems like it turns on then off for a bit, but it's not turning off. My boyfriend took the car over the weekend and said that when he started it, it made an odd noise. He turned it off and started it again, pushing on the brake harder this time, and it booted up no problem. When he drove me home that day it started with no issues. That was on Saturday, nobody has touched it since then, and this is all going down on Wednesday.

I live in CT and it's getting colder. I got the car in the summer from NH, so that's why I'm leaning toward glow plugs. It could be the battery too, or the alternator? I'm a college student so I don't use it that much- it's just been sitting for a good 4 days now.

Anyone think they could shed some light on what's up? Any help would be appreciated!

If your wipers are slow and you didn't turn them on, you need a battery.

Wow, aren't you the bold one! I been driving and working on diesels for decades and wanted a 335D when they 1st came out,. But we had to wait for a used one, and never even considered anything that was not CPO, based on the car's already checkered past by the time ours was 2 years old.
