Fitting M3 leather seats into E90 335i M-Sport

As title really, I'm wondering whether it is possible to fit the leather seats from an E92, E90, or E93 M3 into a E90 335i M-Sport?

If so, then would they fit the rails fine, and would all electric adjustment / heating etc. work fine?

If anyone knows roughly how much 2 x front M3 seats in leather would cost it would be good to know.

I've searched on this forum for more information, and eBay, and google etc. and can't really find much.

Any help appreciated.

I know the seats that are in the M5 are around £3000 each and they have the same features, so expect the same.

I would guess the meory, adjustment, heating etc. would work fine.

You'd need to change the rear seats too as the M3 has Novilo leather which is a different leather to the one use in non m-cars.

If I was considering this I would call BMW and tell them you wanted to purchase the M3 seats but you need to know if they will fit first? Let them do the leg work for you!

If yes.....find a breakers who has a totaled M3....buy the seats.....job done.

However the Performance seats are awesome....downside is you only save about 10 lbs but you do keep the airbag features, which is obviously a plus.

If you are not bothered about the seat airbags, there are plenty of other race seats on the market for a fraction of the cost, with a fraction of the weight!

Good Luck......

I actually did some research on this. The two sets of seats appear they share the same basic seat rails and electric components. The difference include the seat covers, cushions, and orthopedic bolsters. I actually ordered up all those parts and they are sitting at my apartment waiting for matching Coral Red leather for the custom seat covers so that the front and back will match. Also, the seat heating elements are different in shape but I don't think it will be a big deal so I am not swapping them.

Have you thought of having your own seats retrimmed? Will be a cheaper and if it is the quality of the leather that is your motivation you will get better quality if you go to a specialist retrimmer.
