$7XA Coding after LCI Paddle Retrofit
Hello E90 Community,
after I retrofitted the LCI Paddles to my BMW E92 335d 2011, now I have to code it. I wired everything like OEM from JBE (Junction Box) to the DDE where the Transmission Plug (X6021) is. Now I have to VO Code it. When I add $7XA to my VO, and delete $710, where do I know which modules I have to recode ? The Plan is: edit my VO, write the VO to CAS and NFRM. What is the next step for this $7XA coding ? Which modules do I have to recode ? Appreciate any help ! Thank you |

If wired correctly i don't think they need any coding anyway try empy.man file coding the EGS module if it does not do anything check out this thread: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=361439

I will do the OEM Wiring from Junction Box to the Transmission Plug at the DDE.
So therefore I have to add $7XA to the VO and just code the EGS with an empty .MAN file ? Other modules like KOMBI or NFRM can stay right ? |

I've retrofit paddle shifters to 2 cars now (2011 328xi E90 and 2011 328i E93), both of which didn't come with paddles at all, and I didn't need to code anything. There's a plug and play harness I bought that I had to wire up to the steering wheel, but that was the most technical part.
Why do you think you need to code the car? I'm curious because I've never heard it was necessary before. |

Because I will do the OEM Wiring, from Junction Box Module to the Transmission Plug at the DDE Module.
Therefore you have to code it. When you do this with the plug and play harness to the gear shifter, you dont need to code anything. I dont have the harness, because I want to do it like Original OEM Wiring. |
