I just filled out the NJDOT claim form (TORT form) and i'm sending it certified mail. Has anyone ever been reimbursed for a claim filed on the NJDOT? I didn't have the wheels insured through my insurance company so i was unable to file a claim through them. I hope that doesn't effect the results of the NJDOT investigation.

They claim the reimbursement is up to $1000 but no higher than your deductible. My deductible is 1000 and i'm claiming $960. I'll still take 1/2 of that though. I thought i was shit out of luck and would have to pay for everything until my friend told me about filing a claim w/ the state. I'll take whatever i can get.

oh man, that sucks, let us know how it goes with the reimbursement. I pass by there every day but I'm always on the left lane.

Haven't seen the one you mentioned but there's another large pothole right before exit 4, between the center and right lanes, gets a lot of people...

and speaking of 280, why the hell did they slice across all lanes every 50-100 ft starting from west orange all the way to newark? they even numbered the cuts one at a time...sucks hitting the bumps every 1-2 seconds.

Do you have the wheel and tire insurance from BMW? That should have covered it 100% up to the cost of the OEM wheels and tires. If the aftermarkets cost more than the OEM's, then the dealer reimburses you up to the cost of the OEM wheels and tires.

1: he said he doesnt have wheel/tire warranty. the only insurance would be his comprehensive which apparently doesn't cover the wheels.

2: BMW doesn't sell tire/wheel warranty. It's the third party. I personally have had great experience at Morristown BMW with InTire wheel/tire warranty. I bought it from twinkidneygrill.com and Rodney took care of everything!

Paragon has reimbursed me 100% for 2 RFT tire replacements (bubbles), both occurred on 280, towards Harrison. Cost = $28/year. Yes, they cover wheels too.

That is GREAT news! I claimed 960 for two tires, two new wheels and mounting and balancing. If you were reimbursed at 100% for just a bubble, it gives me hope i'll get something.

Thanks bro

280 is always a minefield..always was, always will be.

I avoid driving on that road at all costs...if it means me taking side streets and an extra hour, I will do it.

I been in too many friends cars and almost lost too many teeth or banged my head or bit my tongue..
