How to know if wheels are BMW original?

Hi,

This is my first car, so I am not too experienced. I want to get a set of wheels but I want them to be BMW originals. I went to ebay and found these : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43960

How can I tell if they are BMW origianls and not aftermarkets with a BMW logo? Any guidlines on how to tell if wheels are BMW's ?

Well, those are not original BMW wheels, a few ways to tell:

1) BMW doesnt make a rim that looks like that

2) The auction description says B-Spirit STYLE RIMS. Whenever an ebay auction says "style" that means its a replica of something. In this case its a replica of B-Sprit, which is the Breyton-Spirit wheels... So these are replias of the Breyton Spirit wheels, not any BMW wheels.

There are not many after maket wheels for E90 , nobody seem to have any in UK except BMW themselve, I end up buying the rims from BMW and get the tyres somewhere else.

I don't know about Phillip but the dealer was charging me 1500 on a trade for my 162s

That's quite much, but dealers don't usually pay much when you want to trade wheels.
