So, overall a glowing review.
No unexpected revelations.
More focused on it's place in the BMW lineup/pantheon and against competitors than specific details (what tires you on bro?).

Thx for posting, video was ok but didn't learn much. On test drive he couldn't push the car on his casual drive. Sure talked a lot about compares to the M340i and M440i and that's fine, but I never drove or owned one of them for a reference

Disappointing that we didn't get some performance driving video and commentary. He was driving a dealer car and may have been concerned about jeopardizing his relationship with the dealer if drove it hard.

There should be plenty more to view real soon!

That guy is a talker
Overall he seemed impressed by what you are getting from the new 2'er for approx. 50K. Agree, that we did not learn much new information.

Agreed. He repeatedly said they same thing. I liked what he's saying but was looking for more. Hoping some other videos have a deeper dive later today.

Either way looking like mine is in this weekend and I'll just be hands on

This is what I'm anxious for. I really want to hear Thomas' impressions on the car.

No offense to the reviewer but he manages to make the M240i seem like such a boring car. The review just was not it, I turned it off within 1 minute out of boredom.

I enjoyed the written article, it was short but got to the point. It sounds like an engaging, unique vehicle.

As for the video review, overall it was good but was on the conservative side. He could easily cut 5 minutes out of the video. I understand why he wants to respect a dealer's car, but no performance driver, critiques of handling about posted speed limits, no exhaust revs or drive-bys. Perhaps his audience is mostly normal consumers and not performance enthusiasts?

Very good start of the embargoed driving reviews. I didn’t hear anything negative. True, he didn’t push the car at all but the feel of a car when not pushing it is just as important as when you push it for overall satisfaction.

It sounds good for an FI car the few (only) time he accelerates

I was reading some of the comments on the one video that was released today. Someone said the embargo actually ends tomorrow, 11/17, and the reviewer was a day early....who knows.

I'am willing to bet that the reviews will be glowing and that they'll confirm that this is a epic BMW focussed on the driving experience.

Even in this alpine white, this car is a real gem and a head turner!

Glad that BMW still knows to build cars for purpose.

I also heard it was 11/17. Otherwise you would have seen carwow, Doug etc release theirs today.
