Unhappy Disappointing JB3 dyno results...

From Terry:

Quote:
Hey guys,

Decided to hit up LA Performance for some dyno tuning on the 135i today, turns out they are still open after all!

Since my last runs I've added the Riss catback, which sounds awesome, is 50# lighter than stock, and puts down the numbers. Also added K1 rims, and ran on straight 100 octane this time. My 135i is an automatic.

I was hoping to take the N54 dyno record, but came up a little short. If only we had a 16 bit processor instead of an 8 bit.

First run is with the JB3 1.2 race map (customer version), peak boost of 15psi.

Second is with the JB3 demo map (aka turbo melter), peak boost of around 16.5psi.

We may have came up < 1 hp short of the N54 dyno record, but we did set a new 135i record. And record for N54 with an automatic transmission too. Also met up with a customer at the shop who put down some nice numbers, but I'll let him tell his own story.

with a 135 AT at the track you should be able to do 11.6-11.7 on a day with good weather

I may just have to get a new 135i to replace my 07 335i sedan.

if i could have changed my mind i would have gotten a 135 instead... i dont know... they look corny stock but with some mods itll look right

maybe ill wait until the "tii" comes out or the lighter one or whatever

422whp in that car must feel CRAZY especially with some other weight mods

I dont get it. Is that a back handed compliment?

I guess because JB3 is 8 bit and Procede 16.
But to alternate some signals for raw power that doesn't matter anyways.
So who knows what this means.

If I'm not mistaken, the previous reccord was one of the Helix cars, no? Or was it one of the extreme high boost maps Shiv had a while back?

He was poking at Shiv, who had been criticizing the technology used in the JB3.

"only" 8bit is obviously a joke.
Very nice numbers.
