it doesnt slow down your computer, excellent protection and very fast scanning. I have used Norton and Mcaffee b4, both doesn't even come close to Nod32 which is made by ESET. You totally get what you pay for

I just made a topic about a month or two ago about this. Download AVG Free 8.0. It leaves an annoying process that you can't end in the task manager (which eats up anywhere from 5,000k-45,000k of memory), but it works well. Also, download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
My comp was pretty much as close to fucked as it could get, but it's perfectly fine now.

i tried them all norton, mcafee, nod, etc.
by far the best is nod32 and f-secure. i like f-secure alot though, really doesn't lag up the comp and it is so seemless i love it.

Keep in mind you want reasonable protection. What is light on system resources may not be the best. I have a code for Zonealarm anti-virus Pro. 1 week has passed from it's use date already. First person to PM me gets it.

Try Trend Micro Internet Security Pro - the least footprint I have ever seen and comes with transaction protector, wireless security, etc..

Do you want just anti-virus? Or Anti-Virus, AntiSpyware, host firewall, intrusion prevention, and buffer overflow protection? The fact that various brands may have a smaller foot prints, they may be faster in certain functions, etc. is relative to the functionality they offer. For example, NOD32 A/V, is perhaps the fastest as it is written in assembly language, however, it offers the least functionality.
