Crashed and now I can't get into neutral

I recently had an accident in my E92 N55 335 and I plan on rebuilding it but can't move it an inch. The wheels are locked and when I move the shifter into neutral it doesn't switch over, it stays in park. Any advice on how to get it to neutral so I can move the car around?! Help!

Most BMWs have an interlock override to get the car into neutral to tow it if you can't get it started. On my e60, you have to remove the trim around the shift lever and it will reveal a slot that you can put a screwdriver into tho and lever back. It's similar on my e91. For others there is a a screw that you have access next to the transmission and screw in which releases interlock.

If it's not listed in the owner's manual as it is for my cars, it's probably the screw method. In any case, this is a common enough occurrence with dead starters, etc, that you'll be able to find a video of it on YouTube with an internet search.
