Goodbye Mod's....

well, at least for the winter.. yep, thats right. my mods are coming off. This weekend, my wheels, hood, front bumper mold, and front lip are all going to be coming off the car, and stored for the winter. I dont want to risk damaging all my carbon fiber parts with the road salt, and other shit that is on the road over the next few months... ill be back in MOD world once Spring is here!!

its really not too bad. the hood is easy, just a few bolts and screws, and its off. same for the front lip. the CF bumper mold basically just snaps on the front, and is held with a few screws on the top by the grille. The biggest pain is just gonna be the wheels. But, even thats not a big deal really, just gonna bring it to the tire spot by my house and have them do it. the hardest part of this whole ordeal is going to be bringing my winter wheels and tires to the spot, and bringing my current wheels back home.. yea. id rather just be safe then sorry. My luck, i would leave it on and some bullshit would end up happening. But, now that im taking it off, i bet we dont get any snow!! haha. i hope i am very very very wrong about that though!!

I think it's a little overkill but better safe than sorry. I would suggest getting a jack and changing your wheels yourself. It will probably cost you the same to buy a jack and wrench as it would to have them switched but you don't have to worry about going back and forth and you can switch wheels whenever it's convenient to you. It's only about half an hour of work.

I don't think it's overkill at all. If you've got the room to store all that stuff, that's great. I like doing this type of stuff - very relaxing and theraputic for me. I just don't have that kind of space in my small garage, but if I did... Can't imagine you won't enjoy the weekend!

I was thinking about taking the front lip off as well, although there is not that much snow here (hopefully). I don't want to make it a snow plow!

And wheels are coming off, changing back to stock wheels for the winter, mostly because I have summer tires now and the stock ones are all weather...
