Recently I installed the jb2 in my 335i sedan and i got a 'service engine soon code' and when i was driving i happened to give it a little gas, pretty much full acceleration, and the engine lost almost all power and began to run really rough, i then pulled over and turned off the car for a few minutes then began to drive again and went straight home. the next day i took out the jb2 and went to a mechanic that i know and he made the service engine light go away thinking everything was okay but one more day later (today) i was driving and the same thing happened again when i accelerated. so tomorrow im going to just take it in to bmw and see what they can do...only problem is will this void the warranty? will they be able to detect it? what could the problem be? so many questions i have just want to see what you guys think....

I'm pretty sure the service rep will know that you had a modification done to your car, but depending on what the problem actually is, it may not matter. If you have a problem with the fuel pump (which is very common on this car) and it sounds like you do, it gets complicated...

do you think if its a wiring problem it will void the warranty? because im pretty sure thats what it is but dont know how that could effect the fuel pump. or if for example the hvac filter isnt put on exactly the way it was...

Did you reconnect the vacuum hose to the boost solenoid?

why don't you take a deep breath and relax! Its okay the car is not going to blow up...Reinstall the JB2 and speak to Terry to diagnose the problem...I want to ask after un-installing the JB2 is the car still going into this limp mode? The check engine line if it does come on, a couple of times with the car on and off will eventually get rid of that service light...Don't get yourself all worked up...I was the same way when I first did the ECU tune...All those wires are pretty itimidating and once something goes kind of wrong, PANIAC stage, but with experience now I can tell u to try and relax!

Did you connect the blue and green looms? And did you bypass the boost sylenoid? Maybe you removed the jb2 and left the sylenoid bypassed? If you didn't connect the blue and green looms I don't think you tripped the code.
