Just checked my fcp receipt from 6 months ago. $1500 now fcp wants $2,200. This is scam behaviour

Thing is it isn't just FCP.... ECS are also at 374$ each.

I thought it was just me. Hopefully it's just a supply and demand imbalance that will sort itself soon.

I'm hoping to. I was about to buy one last week and now I see this really puts me off. I think I'l wait until it's not leaking enough to do check engine misfires yet.

Got my 12s (used) for $500 with ~5,000 miles on them. Car runs great, but I ended up paying $400 for programming, which feels like a bit of a ripoff. I mentioned I wasn't thrilled, but supposedly it takes them three hours to do (lol!).

Takes 15 minutes if that with any decent shop scanner or INPA at home

It can be done within a couple of minutes, they ripped you off if they claimed it takes hours to code injectors. $400 is daylight robbery for coding injectors

Yeah as others have said... should take 15 min max with ISTA. I'm surprised 400$ and not just like 1 hour of labor or something.

Seeing all these prices I'm starting to think I should offer coding services here

LOL!! $400... sorry man but they saw you coming. It took me all of like 4-5 minutes with my Autel MK 808 scan tool. Coincidentally my Autel MK 808 cost about that $400 and I got a scan tool that I can use in the future.

Are there any viable alternatives? It's insane the pricing now, and I need a new set.....

It's so surprising how there aren't any(quality) alternatives other then OEM BMW at this point considering they are always seemingly failing.

Yeah not too happy--when I went to pick it up I told them it should only take 15 minutes and that I wasn't happy about it, but the guy at the desk insisted it takes a few hours. Surprised because it's a Bosch-certified shop and has great reviews... guess I can write a bad one. I called the BMW dealer and they quoted low-$300s (which is still probably a rip-off... should have put the money toward a wayward Windows device and INPA!). Surprised too because I spent a while talking with the guy at the counter about N54s, so it was clear I had ~some~ knowledge. Worthy of writing a bad review? Don't like to do it, but think I may in this case.

I'm a what you would called a petty person I guess so if that was me I'd 100% leave a bad review. But I'd first call them back and ask them how in the hell did it takes that long to that it racks up to400$ and would like them to show me in person. It helps that I have the software so I know what I'm doing but all I can think of is maybe they use a old scan tool that's slow as heck as to not jump to conclusions to quickly.

But like the fact it costs more than the dealer and it's a indy? How?? I'm sure your shop prides itself as being cheaper than the dealer?

If they then refuse that, that's when I'd do the bad review.

I probably could have pushed harder, but I did complain when I went to pay the bill. Yes--if I'm going to pay full-boat (or more!), might as well go to the dealer where at least I can get a loaner. Left my review--will see if they respond or not, but in my experience they were unwilling to discuss anything.

I would make sure you point out in your review they flat out lied to your face, because they did say it was a multi hour job when we all know it isn't even my us non-professionals with non-professional tools.

Sorry we are sort of beating a dead horse here, but always pisses me off when shops take advantage of people.

FCP Is Screwing People Over

I bought a set of index 12 injectors in December, 2017 and the list price was $786.99.

There is zero chance that their costs have gone up 300% in 4 years.
FCP Euro is simply gouging the fuck out of people.

My friend let me borrow his Autel MX808 or whatever model it is. Saved me so much time and money. Might buy one for myself
