Scared About Transmission

I have a 2009 Bmw 328xdrive I purchased two weeks ago. I purchase the car as is and I made a big mistake. Yesterday I was coming home from work and realized the car won't reverse but still drives forward. So I had to drive 10 more minutes to the nearest gas station. After I was done pumping the gas, I couldn't reverse or drive forward. I know I need transmission fluid because my mechanic said it was leaking a week before. It wasn't smoking or any of that so as I'm being patient until the mechanic opens tomorrow, do u think the transmission is blown if I was driving 10 minutes before? Or do u think I may need to add the fluid

That would be the absolute minimum. Ideally, you'd identify the leak, which is hopefully just the pan gasket. Then, drop the pan, change the filter and do a fresh fill, following the correct procedure which is well documented.

I was saying being that I drove to the gas station, can it be blown if it didn't stop on me while I was driving. I know I could not reverse but after driving to the gas station, I couldn't go forward neither. I just want to know the chances of it being blown?

No one will have any idea unless they had their hands on the car and tested it with a good fluid quantity.
