1/4 tank trick 110 octane plus 3/4 91 =?

Basically like the title says, got a chance to put in about three gallons of 110 octane to top me off today and i am curious what mix you guys think i will be at. Also just for the record i could feel the difference as soon as i hit the gas pedal! I want to start ordering this stuff now by the 5 gallon barrel

I thought 110 Octane was only available in Leaded... You might want to double check this because you could be doing harm to your cats.

No your not in BIG trouble... But if you continue using it, you will create yourself a costly problem.

Continue using it as in with this tank? I'm hoping i don't have to find some way to drain my tank of gas If it is Leaded then i will sadly never be using it again, i definatly feel more power tho.

If it's leaded...either drain it, or the next couple of times your car gets down to 3/4 tank of gas, fill it up with super at the station. So you can dilute it quickly. Then run down to empty and get that crap out.

And to answer your original question, the math is pretty basic. You already had the equation:

one quarter of 110 plus three quarters of 91 => .25(110) + .75(91)=95.75 octane

If you only put in 1/4, you probably should be fine. I'd fill up when you are down to 3/4. A very well known tuner for Mustangs told my brother he could fill with half and half if wanted and he should be fine. Granted that is for a mustang, but I think you will be alright.

LEADED is bad, bad, bad. The cats are one problem, but even if you are catless you cannot use LEADED. why? Because the problem is the BMW o2 sensors are extremely sensitive and you will destroy them. The lead coats them and then you will have to buy new ones, for each bank, and then install them. Get Vp 109, it is unleaded and wait till you are less than 1/4 tank and run the 5 gallons straight and you will be close to 109 instead of 105. Just a thought.

RON for VP 109 is 109, but R+M/2=105 Octane

OK, did not know the 109 was RON. So it is 105? Well power would be the same but you would not be sacrificing your cars components.
