Xbox 360 racing games
I'm planning on finally getting a 360 now that prices have come down on it and because of black friday sales and everything.
I have NFS Most Wanted for the original Xbox and love it but it's getting kind of old, the new NFS, undercover, is getting really mixed reviews and its $60 Any other racing games i should be looking at when i pick up the Xbox, Forza? Grid? Pro Street? PGR 4? Thanks |

Get Forza 2. That's all you'll need. I can't play any other racing games because they're horribly unrealistic. PGR4 is fun though.
GRID is ass. Pro Street is major ass.

Forza 2 is a necessity. Best racing game for the 360.

In fact, all you need to do is get Forza, forget all the other games and use the money that would be spent towards those games and put it towards a good steering wheel with force feedback (MS steering wheel with paddles isn't bad, that's what I have). Makes driving 500+ rwhp cars without traction control fun.

If you're into off-road type racing, I really enjoy playing Dirt.

+1 to that.
Might get Forza 2 (to which I never even hardly heard of) after hearing how realistic it is.

Forza's main focus is real-world vehicular physics. Everything is actively monitored from suspension travel, tire temperature, lateral grip, lateral g's, weight transfer, and much more. It makes GT feel like an arcade game in comparison. The one drawback is that the game's graphics are way below par in relative to the competition. It's a result of a compromise made for a consistent 60fps and realistic crash damage. Worth it to an extent in my opinion.

Forza 2, GTR Revolution (PC though), and Burnout Paradise FTW. Seriously, its a great game, haha.
But yeah for realism, the former 2 are good titles. btw, wrong forum. |

I got Forza 2 as my second game. I need a steering wheel. I am all over the place with the normal controller.

Yeah, I hear Forza is the Xbox equivalent of Gran Turismo. Hopefully the next version of Forza will include cockpit view like GT5 does, I absolutely LOVE the cockpit view of GT5 Prologue on my PS3. Now all I need to do is save up for a Logitech wheel with 900 degree rotation with 6 speed shifter and clutch, then it'll be the closest thing to getting behind the wheel of the real cars!

The problem with the GT series (still applies to GT4 imo) is that they don't make you feel connected at all. You can be driving 220mph+ and all the cars are rock steady. The tires all make one noise. You can't judge speed visually, or at least I can't. I dunno. Everything feels really distant.
