Blown amp?

Hi, my speakers are really distorted, and cant play a lot of songs with a lot of bass even at low volume without sounding blown (crackling, etc). I thought this was a problem with the speakers, so I bought bav sound stage 1. After installing one of the speakers, I put my ear against it and it still sounds "blown." Since this is how all of my speakers sound, and it is how this brand new bavsound midrange sounds, im thinking it might be my amp that needs replacing? Any thoughts?

Yep sounds like my situation when my amp got fried from a taillight water leak. In my case though it seemed to only be the bass channel from the left underseat woofer but yeah, the moment I had bass it would crackled/pop. I just unplugged the left sub and it was gone for the most part.

You need to identify which amp (sound system you have)
The first thing to check is always water on the amp .
If you have Hi Fi you can go aftermarket on the amp pretty
easily and the sound will be way better.

I have Logic 7 and am planning on installing the bav sound speakers anyway. I am not too great at DIY I mean i was able to install the speaker myself but I dont know much about wiring. Would it be easiest to just get a amp out of another e90 with my sound system ?

Mine is coming out of the midranges and tweeters, when I put my ear up to them i can distinctly hear a lot of crackling. I think my subs are ok

Garage List
My left channel intermittently goes out. Usually comes back when cranking up the volume, but sometimes it'll just crackle. From what I've found the aux ports in our cars is sometimes the cause. Haven't gotten around to replacing mine yet, but will report back when I do. Knocking on my wood grain trim that its not my amp cause I have a NLA Bavsound revenant.
