New port installed M Performance Parts added for G42

More M Performance Parts have been added to the ordering process (port installed accessories). No M Performance Exhaust yet, but here's what's currently available to add to your order. And they can be added prior to arriving at the port of entry.

Dose port installed parts only apply to the US and Canadian markets or can these also be added for UK customers ?

I only ask as I've not heard of UK customers cars being given this option at port before.

I can only speak for the US market as all of these are very recent additions (this week, I think)

In most cases they need to remove the original spoiler and clean up the mess of 3M tape. It's a good hour of work. From someone who had a dealer install a MP spoiler for $150, I would have gladly paid the port a little more to do it perfect.

It's fairly large relative to other BMW spoilers, might explain why.

you have to remember with port installed:
-this is MSRP, there is an invoice price 10-20% below MSRP depending on item (not as helpful in the current car buying climate)
-they are covered full warranty just like the part was orginally installed at the factory
-for leasing purposes they are residualized just like the option was installed at the factory
-there is no additional labor cost, it is built in

I asked my dealer in Canada about these accessories and there is no port install option for us. I was told it would be dealer installed option and they charging around $1000 CAD for it with install. If anyone in Canada is able to get it port installed that please let me know.

I don't see the exhaust on here yet which is what I really want. I did the spoiler last week and it looks sick!

Yeah we don’t get this option in the uk bud. Ours is normally sorted by dealers.

Yeah we don’t get this option in the uk bud. Ours is normally sorted by dealers.

They're not "installing tape;" they're paying someone a living wage to install a spoiler with a warranty on your brand new $50k car.

If we're being honest here, you could always install the "tape" yourself.
