Gm Trans Service
2010 E91 x-drive
GM GA6L45R trans 95k This car is new to me and I am going through maintenance items, so far I have done: OFHG VCG Belt and both pulleys Coils Plugs Mouse ear flange (alloy) Engine oil and filter Pass seat mat sensor There is no record of the trans having been serviced. I was going to put this off but yesterday I experienced a real bump (2nd to 1st?) when accelerating from a stop. I will buy an oil and filter kit from FCP. I am inclined to buy the one with Red Line oil. Does it matter or is Dexron 6, Dexron 6? Thanks Rich |

When I buy a used BMW, I do all of the fluids, which would include coolant, tranny, PS, differential (s), etc. Not cheap, but makes me feel better.

I've serviced both my own car, and a friend's E91 with the filter kit from FCP, and Valvoline MaxLife ATF.
