Are you waiting on something?

It seems waiting is the new pastime for me.

1. 10 months after retiring, I'm still waiting on the state retirement system to finalize my paperwork. In the meantime, I get paid about 85% of what I should be making and I'm paying for health insurance that should be at no cost. I'll get that money eventually, but 10 months to determine if I really had 20 years of service and how much I was making?

2. 6 weeks after I got rear ended, I'm still waiting to get my car back from the repair shop.

3. 5 months after I put a deposit down on a new bike, I'm still waiting for it to arrive.

4. Like a lot of folks, I'm waiting for the COVID situation to ease up like it did last summer. That at least is looking hopeful.

5. Also like a lot of folks, I'm waiting on spring weather so I can start riding outside again.

6. Almost forgot, I'm waiting for my brother to heal up after his accident so we can finally redo the bathrooms in my house.

What are you waiting on?

After only 1 month in my possession/ownership I've been waiting 5+ weeks for my 2022 X3 to be fixed, after some idiot entered the parkway too fast and hit another car and then me. All parts are painted and ready to go back on the car, but some brackets needed to install the new bumper are on back order.

I waited 2 months for this car to be shipped from the South Africa plant to the US. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement.

My car was supposed to be done last week, but then they started repairing it, they found more damage and are now waiting on more parts.

I've been waiting for a new weather station to arrive that I paid for on December 5, 2019. (Manufacturing delays, and the company has been EXTREMELY responsive and offered refunds multiple times.)

I've been waiting for a new Z-Wave wall-mounted scene controller switch since April 2, 2021. (Manufacturing delayed until 2023 because of a 700 series Z-Wave chip supply problem, and the manufacturer has also offered a refund.)

The best thing about Alzheimers is that you can wrap your own gifts and still be surprised when you open them. Some day in the future, the big brown truck will show up at my door with one of these surprise gifts.....

Where did you order it from? I ordered on Amazon, B&H and NikonUSA about 2 hours after the announcement. Amazon came through for me on Jan 27th.

It's an amazing camera. I'm coming from a D3 and totally blown away at the improvement.

I was just going to make a thread about delays and shitty customer service. I honestly don’t know why I bother leaving my house, I always end up regretting it.

- Waiting to actually be able to go to a dealer and see whatever new models are out.
- Waiting for customer service people to go back to the office. Honestly it seems every other time I call a company the numbnuts on the other end is on a dialup connection while doing dishes and eating chips.
- Was waiting on my new cpap machine since Nov. Finally got it like last week and need a different mask… still waiting on that.
- Waiting on 2nd key for Cayenne. Dealer is supposed to provide 2 per CPO specs… backordered.
- Waiting on the market to take a big ol shit, same with car market and housing market…. might be waiting a long time on some of those.

Waiting for Attorney to review/decide if my network/switches replacement RFP should be done as Professional Services, or a Public project. One is SIGNIFICANTLY easier to get to the final product

Waiting for care insurance to make payments. Invoices and logs have been sent. Have only paid for the first week of December so far.

Also waiting on a couch for our newly finished basement. Ordered in July, first estimate was around Thanksgiving. Then moved to Dec, then Jan, now early March. We are currently using deck furniture so we can utilize the projector and screen we also bought, to watch movies.

I went to Disney last summer for family vaca. Was really fun, except for the occasional high heat but it should be good now.

Seriously crowded, right?

Stayed at the Disneyland Hotel years ago when kids were little. Had a great time.

Yup - I grew up in central FL, so went many many times but daughter has never been. Booked a trip back in May of 2020. That obviously got cancelled. Rebooked it for August of 2020 thinking surely covid would be over by then. Ha! Cancelled that as well. Now its rebooked for March of 2022. Let's cross our fingers!
