High speed syncronisation?

Hey all,
I was on FCP euro earlier today and I need to replace my oil filter housing gasket. However, there are 2 options for the OFHG, either with high speed syncronisation or without. I have a 2009 E90 335i xdrive and I am not sure how to tell the difference between the 2.

im pretty sure all of the OFHG are the same, regardless if you have an oil cooler or not. Not really sure about the high speed synchronization however.

High speed sync might be the option that determines if you have an oil cooler or not?

Vaguely has to do with the oil cooler and transmission option iirc. Matter of the fact is, it doesn't matter. You should have an oil cooler on an '09, and the ofhg is the same for all cars. Just don't buy the elring seals and you're fine.

Being ‘09 don’t have anything with having oil cooler or not. In fact, plenty didn’t.

Interesting. I had always heard around '08-'09 they became standard. : Fair enough!

Yes, most LCI e90 xdrive didn’t come with oil coolers. Only the sport package and those were rare.

It is an option code. On my car it is option 840 high speed synchronization. It shows up on the bimmer.work VIN decoder.

Interesting, ya it raised the top speed to 155 instead of 130 (I thought they were all already 155 lol)

But why and how is FCP showing this for a ofhg I still don't know, I don't see it there

All with flat basic seats were setup at 130mph. Some destined for poor road maybe 110mph? If you look at S840A you can find bmw documents on the subject. Not sure about FCP and they aren’t a source I would rely on. They are parts repairer and get the info from bmw.
