Saturday Dec 6th Fomoso Raceway

Kind of like a dyno strip test! Let get all the heavy hitters out there to see what you car can do on the same day as the other cars. It should be lots of fun.l

They are having a fun run day at Famoso next weekend. There should be all kinds of cars, compact/imports, GTOs, BMWs, etc. I believe its only $25 to show up at the gate and run. Starts at 10am I believe. It will probably be crowded, but should be fun anyways. I was thinking of going to a private event later on, but for $258/car, I don't mind waiting in line a little longer! Actually I would have gone to that event, but I will be out of town. So next week it is. This is a makeup day for the Sunday event I went to earlier this month that got rained out. Lets beat some of those GTOs with our 335i BMWs! Hope to see some of you out there!

We may all have crappy times, but it would be a good comparison to run cars on the same track/same day. Like I said, I had no problem beating the Viper last time, even though my times sucked. The conditions hopefully shouldn't be as bad this time around. Some of the GTO people said it was excellent the other weekend.

So is there only going to be around 3 BMWs going this weekend? Anyone else going to make it? This is very cheap $$ to attend. The cooler temps will make for some decent mph, I'm hoping to at least get 113mph this time around!

Sweet! Sounds like mostly JB3 customers again?? Hope there are some other tunes on mostly stock cars going also.

I haven't looked at the forecast lately, but I don't think there is a great chance of rain.

Should be a good weather day.
According to weather.com in McFarland, CA (where Famoso track is)
64 degrees is the forecast HIGH
41 degrees is the forecast LOW

That means it should still be around 50 degrees when the track opens at 10 am.

Possibly the best conditions you could ask for.
Now as long as they prep the track times should be DECENT.

I think this day will produce some of the best times because all the other nights it was 80+ out there but now its much cooler I'm really looking forward to this one

Now thats more like it, this IS going to be fun! I hope cars aren't breaking down left and right in the lanes again. I hope they focus more on the fun run lanes and get us our runs ! But hey, for $25, can't complain too much.

Hey Drew, with the cooler temps, you might be able to break your personal mph record. I am assuming your 500hp was done at a dyno in cooler, lower elevation conditions than when your got your best traps. This weekend should be in the 50's in the morning..Traction, could be a whole different story though. Any Porsche Turbos coming again?
