Fitment/front clearance: 245/40/17 on 17x9ET30 ARC8's
I've been doing a bit of research on front clearance since I just ordered 17inch ARC8's through the group buy and I'm a bit worried.
So I got an 07 E92 335i which I'm planning on ordering Bilstein B14s on before installing the new wheels (My suspension is shot). I've read that since the coilovers got conical springs, they will hinder front clearance and will require 5mm spacers upfront. I've also read that camber plates may be required. My question is: Do you expect my set-up with the 245s to be problematic upfront in terms of clearance to the point ill need to buy camber plates? if so what are my options. Will I rub with the 245s and will need to downsize to 235? Also, How likely am I to have to do more than just rolling my fenders If I'm going 275/40 in the back? The two tire sizes are within 3% of the OEM diameter. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I don't plan on tracking the car and it will only be street driven. P.S The wheel sizes are 17x9ET30 up front and 17x9.5ET35 in the back. +Planning on running Micheline Pilot Sport 4S or Continental DWS all seasons on it if that gives more info. for rear you may want to go with 265 just to avoid rubbing issues since these tires run wide. you will not notice any diff btw 265 and 275 on street. if you need more grip get sticky tires Also call Apex to confirm |

Unfortunately Micheline AS 4s arent available in 265 so I'm kinda forced to go with 275 as I want a staggered setup. I could go 255 but I'd like more of an aggressive set up. But I'm assuming I will have to get the fenders rolled regardless if I'm going that wide. I think the car may already have m3 arms on it from the previous owner but I'm not a 100 percent sure. Is there an easy way to check this? |

you can select diff tire brand that has 265 or add a bit more camber in the rear if needed combined with slight fender roll on top of it. |

I have 255/35r18 on 18x9 et30 up front on mine. I have KW street comforts which have conical springs and I've got ample clearance on the fender side and enough clearance on the coilover side. I think you'll be fine especially since most people run the B14 kit at max height or close to it.
