So my mother gives me a call today and shes asking me for a "realistic" list for christmas, what I want. Now my list consists of anything from a tactical vest... to shoes. All are some form of expensive and she doesn't have a lot of money but is a stubborn ass and will MAKE me give her a list. The funny part is no matter WHAT I say she usually tells me how she can't afford this or that and then I end up with a big present under the tree. What kind of cool things would you recommend ranging frommm $50 bucks to say $200? I don't really care what I get, I want to leave it up to her but if I make a list of stuff then who knows.

How about you leave your mother alone and just buy something for yourself instead? She can't afford a gift for a reason, so don't give her other options.

I know she probably means well and she just wants to make you happy, especially for xmas, but you should tell her that having her in your presence is more than enough.

Like I said she is stubborn as shit and the only thing that really makes her happy is doing stuff for me and my brother. She will get me something regardless, or harass the shit out of me until I give her a list.

Flat screen TV: My wide/flat screen samsung monitor does TV and movies

DSLR: I used to have a D40, miss it but tooooo expensive

Golf: Used to play, no time though now

Blueray: PS3 already don't need it...

Then it's time to sit down with your Mom and explain to her that you don't want her to go into debt just to buy you something for Christmas. That's why her taking you out to dinner - or even just making you a nice dinner - is a much better suggestion.

She wants to know what I want though, hence this thread. I know what I want but I'm looking for sub $200 options. I don't know if anyone here knows of anything that isn't at least $200 bucks though. The $200 budget doesn't mean find the closest thing to $200 lol.
