Mechanic Recommendations in the DMV area

Hi,

Looking for recommendations on shops to get work done. F25 and G20 (the latter still under warranty and service agreements, so less work here), but looking for a shop that's going to have BMW diagnostic gear/an ex-master technician, because of got a few issues with the F25 that appear to be related to modules off the canbus that my normal mechanic thinks would be better handled by a BMW specialist.

Bonus for anyone who deals with classics, as I've also got a '74 2002tii.

Bethesda/Rockville area preferred, but open to anywhere in the DMV.

Plenty of place in the MoCo area: Sigy's, ExcluService, Scandinavian Import

Add Premier Autowerks to the mix located in Frederick, MD. They've recently expanded to a larger repair facility. Owners of the shop used to be BMW techs at BMW of Rockville.

I've also had a decent experience with BMW Excluservice.

Anyone has experience with Aktiv Automotive in Gaithersburg MD? The original owner Kevin sold the business - most reviews mention him as the master tech.
I used them a couple of times in the past for oil changes but I was a bit taken aback when the tech did not know how to reset the service counter for F10 (that I had to look up on the web and reset myself later).

After Kevin left, I haven't been back. Hopefully someone can chime in b/c I'd like to know as well.

Depends on the job, but for normal maintenance stuff that I don't DIY, I use Scandinavian Imports in Rockville. The owner is a BMW guy that I've know forever and they work on German cars too
