2022 NY auto show press day

A sad state for the auto show industry; the place was half empty.

I've been going here for 20 years, so it was truly sad to see it like this. But, here are some highlights. Of course, nothing European was really there.

That is unfortunate. I was looking forward to going on Sunday when I return from Spain.

Im looking forward to going this weekend. Sad to hear it was emptier than usual, but that means I can get a better view of the cars rather than having to push my way through crowds.

Went on Good Friday when it opened. Although surprised at how quiet it felt I really enjoyed it. Enough space to move around and appreciate the cars without fighting the crowds from the past.

It is really sad to see the show decline like this over the years.

I remember when I went to the 1994 show and saw a 325i convertible being featured in Samoa Blue with a navy rag top and immediately went over to BMW of Manhattan and ordered that color combination.

As a child going to this was always one of the highlights every year. I absolutely loved checking out and sitting in every car I could. I just moved back to NJ and want to go this year but I am not sure I will be able to make it. I like that the crowds are smaller though as the past couple times I went it was very difficult to see everything.

lmfao in retrospect I'm sure I get so much judgement on this site due to my name

the g35 was my first. you know speaking on topic, the joy that car brought me and that excitement can't be found in my m3. I guess just the product of aging.

good times tho.

The steering feel in the Z was better than my G80. Stick too. Even the coffee grinder engine note of the VQ was endearing. Oh well, simpler times indeed.
