Will getting an aftermarket replacement filter hurt my car?
So I am looking to do some light sound/performance mods, but don't want to hurt or shorten the lifespan of my 2011 328xi sedan in any way. Would getting a replacement air filter such as this one in the link below have any risk of not filtering anything into my engine? Also with removing the charcoal filter?

Never had any problems with aftermarket filters, oiled or dry, in any of my cars.
As for the charcoal filter, please...rip that stuff off with no second thought Have fun

However the filter you linked is for N55, not N52/N51

Poor filtration efficiency with no benefit. Spend the money on a silicone intake hose if you're looking for more induction noise.
