Hey all,
As you all know, the injector price right now is fucking crazy. FCP Euro is charging about $2.6k for a full set of OEM ones. They are out of stock right now and either way it would suck to pay that much. I get free lifetime replacement but dear god. Anyways, I think I found some on ebay and they have sold quite a bit, they charge only about $500 for a full set. I really do think its too good to be true but didn't know if anyone bought them.

I’ve never heard a positive thing about eBay injectors.

What’s currently on the car? You may get lucky with an ’09 and still have an active recall out for your injectors.

I haven't checked, but its pretty grandpa spec and when I started getting misfires and replaced the coils and plugs, they were all original. My guess is they are also original because 3 were leaky and I get 14 mpg. Is there any info on the recall? Because I thought the recall was only for 2007s.

Early 2009s fall within the recall window. My car did, but unfortunately already had three replaced in 2011 and was thus ineligible for all 6 index 12s. You may get lucky...

Those ebay index 12 injectors are FAKE. They scratch off the previous index # and replace it with a 12.

Your best bet is to buy a set of used Index 12's if you don't wanna shell out $2.5k+ on new ones. They can be found for under $1k

Pretty sure it's fake.

Nobody is selling a set of genuine Index 12's for $500

If your going to replace the injectors, go the genuine route, bite the bullet and get it from a reputable source like FCP

I had 2 or 3 that were leaking on my 2007 E90 335i, Index 1's. Replaced them all with 6 Index 12's for about £1500

Save yourself the headache - went down the path of an Ebay seller, bought outside Ebay on their site, who happened to be somewhat local. This helped when taking the hit on shipping those crappy injectors back to him. Went FCP after that and never had to look back.

Some of these “Index 12” injector fakes are better than others - I would say this one looked the most legit of fakes I’ve seen. This batch came from NYC.

Another good place to find used 12s is to look for junked N63 powered cars, such as a 750Li.
They were covered under several recall / service campaigns and many had injectors replaced with 12s under warranty.

Unfortunately not,
Checked my manufacturing date and it was 01/09 so no dice on the recall. Really pray the FCP Euro ones get back in stock soon

I couldn't trust it with only showing advertisement photos of the injector without a single one in hand or with the PN on it

I bought a set of them 3 months ago. They come from china and they were index 12s. They were not new. They clean up used ones and test them on a ASNU machine. You have to replace the Teflon seal and get new decoupler rings. One of the injectors was bad. I used one of my known good index 09 to replace it. They refunded me for the one bad injector. So far no problems. Not real happy about getting used injectors without knowing the history of them.

Lots of eBay ones are fake, others are poorly rebuilt. Buy some used genuine ones if new is not an option.
