I have always looked at ONR, but been somewhat skeptical. Well I just received some today and sure enough, the day I get it an opportunity came up to use it.

I parked near a pine tree today and when I pulled into the garage I realized that my car was covered with tons of small specks of pine sap which had already dried hard in the sun along with some bird bombs. Finish basically felt like sandpaper. It was already dark and cold outside, so washing outside wasn't feasible. So I did the 2oz/2 gallon mix and did a rinse bucket as well. I was pretty surprised that just about two passes with the sheepskin mit and the pine sap was gone. The car wasn't that dirty otherwiise. I checked the panel under numerous types of lighting and there was no marring or scratches. Car was just finished with Jetseal and P21S about 2 weeks ago, so that may have aided with the process.

I also tried the new blue grout sponge from DI. Seems to work well, but a little harder getting into the tight spots around doorhandles, but holds a lot more liquid so you can 'squeeze' it to saturate the panel with onr/liquid if its real dirty.

Looking forward to trying ONR in some other applications.

Glad you liked it. Heard about this stuff last winter and used it every week. Seems like a great product. Not sure if this is better but I use 2oz. for every gallon of water. I figured that more ONR is better? Would love to hear some feedback on this. Also ordered the blue grout sponge from George but haven't had the chance to use it yet.

I don't use quite that much, but I use slightly a stronger ONR dilution than recommended -- instead of 4 capfuls (2 oz) for 4 gallons, I use 5-6 capfuls (2.5-3 oz) for 4 gallons. I don't think making it stronger (you'd be using 8 oz for 4 gallons?) is bad, but probably unnecessary. That's more like clay lube strength. Go with what you're comfortable with, though.

2.5 oz for 4 gallons seems to work well, and that's enough water to wash the whole car, unless the wheels are in bad shape. I always do the wheels and wells last with ONR, for obvious reasons (I do them first with a normal wash). If they're really dirty, it's about that time that I have to mix another couple of gallons.

How dirty can the car get before a normal wash is required? Just want to make sure I don't cause any scratches or swirls with ONR when I should have gone with a normal wash. Need help to get through these German winters. Thanks.

You can pre-soak a very dirty car or just run down to the coin-op car wash and rinse it off real good, then use ONR!

I'm converted. After reading about ONR i too took the plunge. Love it. No scratches. Its like vudu or something.
