DSC DBC and FTB warning lights .. help!
Hi
Hoping someone can help. My friend has trusted me to sell her beautiful BMW sports coupe 2010 320d which was driving fine. She’s currently in America so I’m trying to do this myself (damsel in distress) without costing her a fortune to go through every thing when it could be something simple. Not sure if it’s coincidental or if it could be anything to do with the recent repairs. I recently had the back suspension replaced and the front and rear bump stops done. Not sure if it’s a co incidence but only drive the car once since leaving the workshop and got the above faults coming up. Took it back to where it was fixed today and he put the scanner over it. Was able to clear the ftb but the other two faults are still showing. He said he needs a day to go over it more to find the problem. Has anyone come across this problem or any idea what it could be please…? Thankyou in advance. |

Could be just rear speed sensors disconected.
Small black thing near the brakes. It will throw dsc dbc codes. Google where they are you could check without to much effort. |

Thankyou SO much for replying…
Could this be caused by going over vicious speed bumps at all..? We have a few commercial type ones that are in our estate but the car had previously not driven on them. Just trying to rule out the changing of suspension and bump stops first before spending lots of unnecessary dollars to try find the problem. |

They might have done when removing all the control arms, toe arms to get new springs in.
Literally will take 10 seconds to put your head under or your phone and video it to have a look. Otherwise you need a code reader to see actusl codes. codes are like this 2AAF, 3100. DBC is not a code its an error which makrs it hard to track down without a code. Most mechanics have code reader. Bmw does not require a special tool to read codes. |

Thankyou again so much. I’ll get my son to get down and have a look.
The original mechanic has asked to bring the car back in next week to make sure there’s nothing they’ve missed etc… I’ll post an update when I know more. Cheers mate |
