V3 11-14 BETA Question
hi,
i tried to email shiv/vishnutuning.com directly before posting this on the forums. i have sent 2 emails in the last 2 weeks with no response. i'm sure they are very busy so perhaps some of you can help. anyway, i am currently running V3 7-11 BETA "pro01v03beta30" stage 0 doomsday map. i am trying to upgrade to the V3 11-14 BETA. i have downloaded all the necessary parts including "Pde_reader v3_1", "pro01v03beta42" and all the "11-14" maps. is there anything else i am missing? so when i click on "Pde_reader v3_1", it gives me an error message that says "unable to locate component: this application has failed to start because intcommmanager.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem." what causes this message? how can i get intcommmanager.dll? do i need to connect my laptop to the procede unit before i run the procede reader? i didnt have to do that before with my old procede reader. a bit more info... i have not tried to connect my laptop to the procede unit yet. i didnt want to spend all this time getting to the procede unit in the freezing cold and then realize i have a software problem. also, i am running xp, not vista. finally, i have no problems opening my procede reader v2.0 (without connecting to the procede unit). thanks in advance for all your help! |

You need to install the procede software downloaded from http://www.vishnutuning.com/Files/BM...eader_v2_0.zip and then replace the installed pde_reader.exe with the 3.1 version you have for the beta, it will be in your c:\program files\ directory

Hi,
Have you placed "Pde_reader v3_1" in your Procede folder wherever you installed ths software (usually C drive). From Shiv's site: Quote:

OP: It looks like you don't have the 3.1 software placed in the 2.0 reader folder. The 3.1 reader needs components from the 2.0 software to work.
Tobias: When 3.1 makes the move from beta to non-beta, we will have all the updated instructions. Beta forms are intended for those that know their way around the procede pretty well. |

thanks for all the quick responses guys!
you were all right... i had the new V3.1 reader in the separate folder and it works fine now that i moved it to the original procede folder. i intentionally put it in the separate folder so that i wont mess the existing V2 reader up, that way i can default back to it if anything got messed up with the new V3.1 reader. who knew i would be messing things up by trying not to mess things up??? well if it can possibly be broke... leave it to me to break it. problem solved... thanks again guys! end thread... |
