Jbazz's build

Here are a few shots from a foggy morning coffee run. Thundernight looks so dark on the cloudy days. It's so nice to get out early before the normal cars clog all the fun roads

Some initial thoughts on the M240:

I love the interior, the technology, paint, the fit and finish. The ride quality is excellent in either drive mode. Pretty comfortable, good visibility, and ergos. The engine has a massive band of power delivery, and pulls entertainingly hard. Cornering is good, but you can feel the weight. Transmission is amazing.
HK stereo is very nice -about what I would expect for the price.

Comfort mode is so civil for daily duty, sport plus is like driving a different car practically.

Steering is just ok, everything they say is true.
lane departure intervention is annoying, I think i will leave it off
Sound is pretty good, but want a bit more.
Not in love with the small gas tank and low range.
Headlights are good, but not as good as previous angel eyes from my X3
Lane departure warning vibration motor is audible (on high anyway) - it was not audible on my X3

Mods:
35% Xpel Nano-Ceramic tint
Full Front + rear bumper Xpel Ultimate Plus PPF
Burger Tuning 13mm spacers F&R
M Performance Carbon Fiber/Alcantara Interior Trim Kit - BMW (51-95-5-A27-1A3)
M Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler - BMW 51-19-5-A51-348
TLG mud flaps (they really help)
Blendmount for Uniden R7 - BR7-3032
M Performance Frozen Black Side Skirt Film - BMW (51-14-5-A30-FD6)
M Performance Carbon Fiber Door Sills - BMW 51-47-2-472-521

I would say 13mm F/R is very close to flush, not poking out at the top. There are other owner's photos of similar setups on this forum too for your viewing pleasure.

Looks great but its hard to tell from the picture if the side skirt is entirely covered in matte black with the performance wording on top of it.

Is there any gloss black left on the side skirt or the decal covers it all.
Also are the performance letters already coming with the matte decal or its another add on ?

Was thinking of getting this

The decal does not cover the whole surface, just part of the upper face of the panel. The lettering is part of it.

Back to the detailer for light paint correction and Nanolex Ceramic coating. Already had the full front / bumper wrapped in Xpel PPF.

I look for excuses to drive this car!
