2023 Release date?

Any word on when you can spec out a 2023 model 240i?

Not yet but I know you can do it on the UK configurator. If you want go to their website for now. The US one should be released this summer (most likely).

From what I've seen in the recent past, the US configurator usually updates a couple weeks after the UK update.

Since the 2023 model was just released this week on the UK website, we should (should) see it go live on the US website within a week or 2 - I'm guessing around the first of June

thats the possible earliest production date, I believe the OP asked about when will the ordering guides for the MY2023 be available to the dealers across North America so customers know the new MRSP price together with the new standard options and the new extra available options for the North American market.

I emailed my CA last week and she said that she expects these docs this week. Given what's been said about the UK dealers getting their ordering guides this week, you'd think the roll out would have similar timing...

I'm just hoping to take delivery this year. I've seen everyone else's struggles with delays so I'm taking the "expect the worst, hope for the best" approach.

I think a few people in the EU/UK said that the base pricing is up like 1700 euros? a $2000 or $2500 hike between years A, sucks, but B, it's to be expected.

It's out. Released to dealers on 5/28. No significant changes that I can tell.

Are there changes to the costs of the options?

So you're saying I should be able to get my SA to change my order to a 2023 at this point? Or just that they have the guides?

OK, looking at the MY22 ordering guide, there are additions to the Shadowline Package. "M Sport Package Pro" is listed underneath. No clue what that is.

Thanks!

Hm, that's odd bc the M Technology Package and 893Ms are also part of the Cooling and High Performance Tire Package. And the Shadowline Lights and Black exterior bits are separate parts of the Shadowline Package.

Maybe for the US it'll just be the seat belts

EDIT:

AH! The MY23 Ordering Guide also says the M Sport Package Pro includes "Sprint function". Gonna need prices to figure out what's what I think.

I think I saw this Sprint function being already available on one of the youtube videos for a MY2022 in Canada already...
Does that mean the Sprint function wasnt avaiable up until now for the MY2022 USA models ?

I think I've seen mention of the sprint function in the US as well but I don't think it was listed explicitly anywhere. Maybe that's the actual update. Ha.

It's not new. Don't think it was on the web site anywhere but it's in the owners manual.

That's my guess as well. But I want to switch from the xDrive to RWD and see what else might have changed.

So i had put an order for my car 8-9 weeks ago... Deal agreed, and then the changes came. Technology plus pack no longer available and the interior now changed. The dealer is now asking me to add £1000 on my deposit due to the price increase of the overall car. Told him them absolutely not, and have spoke to BMW UK to make a complaint. Will also be speaking to a motoring ombudsman to let them know what's happened. Needless to say if they don't reduce the price again and lower since they've taken £1100 worth of options off i will be cancelling my order. So annoyed.
