Has anyone inquired if ACC can be added in the future once the radar units are back in stock? If so, is there a quote/cost estimate?

At the minimum, I'm assuming it'll require the ACC radar unit + wiring, a new lower grill, and changes to the buttons on the steering wheel - plus dealer labor, of course. It certainly doesn't sound like a cheap endeavor that will require $2000-3000. Now that the RWD model will be available for 2023 and potentially with ACC, I'm considering just ordering a new car.

I don't have an answer on the cost, but I would highly suspect that the cost to add ACC later is not going to be costly endeavor. If you currently own a 2022 M240i XDrive, I would order a RWD 2023 with ACC and sell the 2022. In today's market you should come out well from a financial perspective. Of course this assumes you're okay with iDrive 8.

I know on mine the grille/bumper is already compatible. You can see the screw holes where the radar mounts.

I want it, but I don't use cruise nearly enough to justify the hassle of doing it as an add on. It's really frustrating that BMW isn't allowing it on unbuilt MY22's now that it's back in stock

I own a 2022 G42 M240i that didn't come with ACC. Would love to retrofit it in as it's very handy in traffic and a valuable safety feature overall (I have it on the X3 and it works great). If anyone knows how or can point in the right direction would greatly appreciate.

Was just playing with the UK configurator, and the Radar/Sensor is definitely shown in the picture when building the vehicle, and it doesn't show the model year.

Whereas on the USA configurator, it still shows the 2022 infront of the model.

when i retrofitted ACC on my F32 it required the following:

Radar Sensor
Grille
Bumper Wiring harness
Custom Wire harness from fender to ICM module
New ICM Module
New ABS Pump
New ABS Sensors
Steering Wheel Buttons
Coding

Technically the hard brake lines are different between ACC/No ACC but I didnt change those
