Polish & Wax vs Just Wax...How often?

Do most folks do at least a fine polish every time they wax? Or only polish every so often?

Also, if you are going to wax, do you use a specific type of soap first to remove any old wax?

I almost always at least use a fine or cleaner polish before any wax. You have to prepare the surface for good results. How often is kinda like when your doctor tells you to take something as needed. Your climate and drive will dictate a lot. An AIO ceramic product might be a good option most ir the time.
