perf tire recommendation for 335xi w/ 18"

Hi,

I have an '08 335xi with the 18" performance tires/rims. 3 of the tires are getting a bit low on tread, and 1 of them is screwed up pretty bad with a large bulge from a pothole.

I'm on my winter rims+tires now, so I'm fine until spring, but I'd like to get 4 new performance tires for the 18" rims sometime before spring, so I can get them on.

I've made up my mind to go away from the runflats, and go to a conventional tire with the mobility kit in case I have a flat.

Can someone recommend a good 18" performance tire, hopefully available @ tirerack.com, that gives a good combination of performance + low price? $$$ is a factor, but I don't want to skimp out too much and lose the performance -- I want the best of both worlds!! Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Garage List
Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas...(comparable performance to Michelin Pilot PS2/Goodyear f1)..half the price...and no, this isnt a cheap tire like the generals

unfortunately tire rack does not carry them, but I ordered from performanceplustire.com and they were at my door (in boxes mind you..not just wrapped in tape) within the week

so...do it

One of the highest performance tires at the lower prices points that we've had good experience with is the Sumitomo HTRZ III.

+1. I had HTRZs on my Prelude and I loved them. I also used them to auto x. Affordable as well.
