input on situation please..
had jb2 nd broke oem tees, used diff ones. The one day bmw reps are looking at cars mine is there so i got screwed. wanted to void warranty right away but got it situated and have my warranty still.. they said that my car is flagged now? and thy also said they could tell someone tampered with the ecu. can they do anything if they can tell if someone has touched it? do u think they open up the ecu everytime i go in? my jb3 is sitting in my room and i never got to put it in and i want to.. BAD
Would you? |

Oh I see, that tee is a lot easier to see I suppose. Too bad they saw it. The way I see it is now that you don't have to bypass the boost solenoid anymore, install the JB3. Just pull it out when you go in for service. Its much less detectable than any aftermarket tee fitting.

What does flagged mean? BMW NA will wait for your car to blow a turbo or something expensive before voiding your warranty? A simple phone call to the dealer will tell you if your car has been "flagged" or not. |

Just tell them that you had a boost gauge that was tapped from that location and that you did it the wrong way when taking it out worrying about your warranty. Tell them that you did not play with the ecu and wouldn't know how to anyway.
