tires keep losing air pressure...
this is a long story so i'm going to try to cut this down...
4 months ago: front right tire is low (about 29 psi) so i put in some air (32 psi) 2 months ago: rear right tire low (30 psi) refilled to about (38 psi) 3 weeks ago: rear right tire low again (30 psi) refilled this time to (40 psi) Today: ALL TIRES @ (30 psi) so at this i'm asking myself wtf is going on here? front tires were filled til 35 psi this time and the rears to 40 psi. my questions are am i doing something wrong here? how the hell did the right rear tire lose 10 psi in just 3 weeks? i'm sure there's no funny business going around as in no kids messing with the tires so what gives? i don't track the car and it doesn't get driven hard pretty much at all. i was thinking maybe cold weather is the caused but then i thought maybe the road surface might be another factor. Or.....are my tires just fucked up? car is a year and 2 months old, but i've only had it for 11 months. it also has 10,700 miles and i will be taking it into service for the first time January 6th of 09. should i mention this to my SA next month? thanks in advance.

well, it was really cold today, so you would have lost some air pressure because of that alone. But you might want to have your valve stems checked/tightened up a bit.

that's the crazy thing i had the tires checked the 1st two times i had low tire pressure and dude checked it for like 15 to 20 mins each time and came back with nothing is wrong. my friend's dad, who actually owns the tire shop, also checked it himself to only give me the same answer.

i had a leak on one of my tires... turns out it wasnt a nail in the tire but a busted valve... so if u cant find a nail, check ur valves.

I had a very slow leak - ~10psi every 4-5 days. Took it to a shop and they found a screw in the tread - patchable - and a f'ing nail in where the tread and sidewall meet - not patchable. The tech explained that the tires are supposed to have a self sealing material in the layers and that's why the leaks were so slow. The nail though forces me to replace the damn thing for ~$400. Regretting not getting the wheel/tire warranty when I bought. My car has 5094 miles...
