Auto N55 jerky at idle speeds and reverse
Auto n55 with 80k miles feels jerky when stopped at a light or sometimes in reverse. Mostly notice in stop and go traffic. Also startup after car is already warm sometimes revs up to 1.5k-2k then slowly comes down to idle

I’m having the same issue. What year is yours? I was looking for someone with a 2011 n55 to share an hot idle log while shifting to reverse so I can compare with mine.

Mine is a 2011 e90. MHD isn’t showing any active codes so I don’t know if it’s a transmission issue or an engine issue

No codes for me too. I think the problem is when a load is added to the engine..like when put in gear, steering wheel is turned to full lock or even when the AC is turned on. It seems 2011 n55e have some idle issues like this. Do you know how to take a log with MHD and share it with datazap?

I have the same issue, it's almost like the engine is bogging down when in reverse or for me it also happens when i have the wheel turned all the way and going slow like in a drive thru. I've done research on this before, apparently this is just how BMW coded the car so your right they accidentally set it to put too much load out. As far as i'm aware i haven't been able to get a resolution. I'm not too worried about it even tho it annoys the piss out of me. It makes me wonder if it can be fixed by a tuner…
